How do I create my itsme account?

How to create your itsme account

  1. Download the itsme app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Open the app and enter your mobile number and email address.
  3. Add your address: select Netherlands and enter your street, house number, (optional) box, postcode and city. Confirm your address.
  4. Choose your ID (Dutch ID card or residence permit).
  5. Scan your ID by holding it against the back of your smartphone for a few seconds.
  6. Complete the face scan by following the instructions in the app.
  7. Enter the 5‑digit code you receive by SMS.
  8. Create and confirm your 5‑digit itsme PIN.
  9. For faster login, you can enable fingerprint or face recognition.
