What does error code 001-0321 mean?
This error appears when you try to register or change a mobile number in your itsme account, but that number is already linked to another itsme profile.
Why does this happen?
There are two possible reasons:
- Your mobile operator may have reassigned the number after it was previously cancelled. It might still be linked to the old itsme account of the previous owner.
- The number was never cancelled but passed on through family or friends, and is still linked to another profile.
What’s the solution?
For security reasons, only an itsme employee can remove the old account. You’ll need to prove that the number now belongs to you.
What should you do?
- Contact the itsme helpdesk.
- Provide proof that the number is yours. This can be:
- A screenshot of your phone settings showing your mobile number.
- A recent document from your mobile provider with your name and number.
Once your proof is verified, the old account will be removed and you’ll be able to register the number again.
