When logging in the CovidSafe app via eHealth and you chose itsme®, you may receive the following error message: "The authentication via itsme® has been interrupted. Please close itsme® and try again."
This issue is not linked to itsme®. You can get this error message when you try to log in to government websites from a mobile web browser. Please make sure that you are using your smartphone's default web browser or that you aren't surfing in private modus. You can change the default browser in the settings of your smartphone. For Android use we recommend not to use Samsung Internet but to use a different browser instead. This will avoid the error message.
Since the iOS 14 update, iPhone users can also change their default browser in their settings.
If the error persists, we advise you to log in to the CovidSafe app directly via itsme® of choose another login method via "eHealth".
You can also download your certificate via MijnGezondheid.be/MaSante.be or Brussels Health Network from a PC or tablet.
To request a paper certificate, you can reach the CovidSafe helpdesk at 078/78.78.50 (Flanders), 071/31.34.93 (Wallonia) or 02/214.19.19 (Brussels).
