After confirming my itsme login on iPhone, I’m not redirected to the partner website or my bank. What’s the cause?
Answer: Since a recent iOS update, the system that handles the default browser redirection is malfunctioning on some iPhones.
Normally, iOS automatically opens your chosen default browser, but due to this bug the redirect fails. Sometimes you may also see error [001‑0305] or [001-0703] during bank activation.
Solution:
Reinstalling Safari resets iOS’s internal browser‑handling logic.
- Open the App Store
- Search for Safari
Reinstall
You don’t need to use Safari afterwards, but iOS requires it for redirect processes.
